Dr. David Forbes, Jr. is a fourth generation Pastor. His father Pastor David Forbes Sr. was one of the founding members of the Civil Rights Movement Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), while a student at Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Pastor Forbes talks about the life lessons he learned from his Dad and Mom about caring for people and helping to make a change in their lives.
Pastor Forbes is Founder and Pastor of Columbus Christian Center Church and Ever-Increasing Life Ministries, both in Columbus, Ohio. Out of his birth in Brooklyn, NY and upbringing in Richmond, VA has emerged a life and ministry committed to the Word of God. Dr. Forbes’ love for the Word of God, his love for people and his passion to see their lives of faith strengthened, undergirds his fire for ministry.
Known as the “soul doctor”, he blends roots in social work and Christian upbringing to project a unique but effective anointing that has endeared him to many. Directness, practicality, authenticity and wisdom are trademarks of his God-given approach to the Scriptures.
Pastor Forbes is a devoted and committed family man. His lovely wife, Dr. Tracy Forbes, along with their five beautiful children and five precious grandchildren join him in the joyous work of building the Body of Christ and enhancing the Kingdom of God.
